Flagstone
The Stone Center of Carolina has numerous types of
irregular flagstone.
From the
quartzitic North Carolina stones to the sand stones of
the desert Southwest. We have
something for everyone!
The face sizes range from 2 square feet to 8 square feet. Larger pieces
can be easily
broken into smaller sizes. These stones are all suitable for
patios, walkways and for use
as stepping stones. Selected stones are also suitable for pool decking,
porches and for
interior applications. As a general rule of
thumb, we suggest that our customers may
expect the following:
• 1 ton of 3/4" to 1
1/2" thick irregular flagstone yields
approximately 100 - 120 sq. ft.
• 1 ton of 1 1/2" to 2
1/4" thick irregular flagstone yields
approximately 70 - 90 sq. ft. |

Pattern
Flagstone
The Stone Center of Carolina carries a great
selection of dimensional stones cut into
squares and rectangles to be layed in
specific or mixed patterns for flooring.
They can be
found on patios, porches, pool
decks and in interior flooring applications.
In general, the stones are cut slightly
smaller than their stated dimension as an
allowance
for a mortar or sand/screening joint (Eg. 12" x
12" measures to 11.5" x
11.5"). For most
of these materials, the sizes range from 12" x 12" up
to 24" x 36" graduating in 6"
increments (Eg. 12" x 12", 12"
x 18", 18" x 18, etc.). Where
indicated larger sizes may
be available. |
